
Lochdubh: a frontier town in the west of Scotland. One hotel, one general store, one doctor and one lawman - PC Hamish Macbeth. He's the sheriff - with his own singular methods of dealing with crime and misdemeanours. The locals respect him as he deals with the 'outsiders' who generally cause the problems.
