Boycott

Montgomery, Alabama. Rosa Parks - a middle-aged, respectable black woman is on a city bus and ordered to give up her seat for a white passenger. Calmly and quietly, she refuses. Parks is arrested and charged under the State's merciless laws of segregation. Led by a young Martin Luther King the black community of Montgomery quickly rally to support Parks'. However, what started as a 24-hour boycott of the city's buses turns into a yearlong struggle, a relentless and bitter war against inequality and prejudice. Boycott is based on the historic events of 1955, and tells the compelling story of a single act of defiance that was destined to shape the lives of millions of African-Americans.
