This is a documentary focusing on a year of life at Saint-Etienne Sur Usson, a nursery school in rural France. The film follows the teacher, Georges Lopez, as he teaches and relates with the children, guiding them towards adolescence. Once they reach the age of 10, the children must leave the school and attend the state school in the local town.
